Ich lebe noch! Ich ueberlege aber mir einen anderen Internetanbieter zu suchen und habe deshalb z.Zt. daheim kein Internet. Im Buero kann ich zwar bedingt mails lesen und meine Zeitnugen durchschauen, aber bloggen ist dort nicht gestattet. Noch etwas Geduld .. ;o)

Why did the alligator cross the road? Cops don't know, but authorities collared the nine footer Tuesday morning after a half-hour standoff that slowed traffic to a crawl on U.S. 441.

The gator was spotted about 7:15 a.m. at U.S. 441 and Bailey Road. The reptile was seen by construction workers, who called 911, bringing the Broward Sheriff's Office to the scene.

''This is the Broward's Sheriff's Office,'' a deputy said into a bullhorn. ``Get back into the canal!''

The alligator defied orders.

The deputy continued: ``Move back! Move back!''

The alligator didn't exactly obey, although it did eventually meander about 100 feet or so. It migrated from the pavement of U.S. 441 to the sidewalk along the busy road. Traffic was reduced to one lane as the alligator stood its ground.

''It's very large,'' said BSO spokeswoman Veda Coleman-Wright. ``At one point, it was next to a BSO motorcycle deputy and it was bigger than the motorcycle.''

Finally trappers with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission came and captured the animal with a snare-like device. They taped its mouth shut, hoisted it into the back of a pickup truck and traffic resumed.

Nach einer langen Woche musste ich mich doch etwas belohnen ... und so bin ich fuer eine Nacht nach Key West gefahren. Urspruenglich war geplant, dass ich morgen noch auf die Dry Tortugas fahre, aber leider habe ich keinen Platz mehr bekommen ... egal ... Die Keys sind ja nicht weit weg ... da habe ich einen Grund, den Trip noch mal zu machen ;o)

Einige haben u.U. ja bemerkt, dass ich mich hier z.Zt. etwas rar mache. Das liegt daran, dass z.Zt. mein Anschluss daheim gestoert ist und AT&T sich weigert meine Stoerungsmeldung per Email zu bearbeiten, da sie"keine persoenlichen Daten ohne Authorisierung" vornehmen koennen. Den Hinweis, dass sie keine Daten aendern sollen, sondern einfach nur meine Leitung freischalten sollen ist noch nicht in das Kleinhirn vorgedrungen. Mal gucken wie das weitergeht ... ;o)
Ich bin also noch am Leben ... lese auch Eintraege, kann aber im Buero nur eingeschraenkt Beitraege schreiben.

Heute Nacht laesst die NASA wieder Raketen steigen ... und wenn ich aufraffen kann, werde ich es wieder am Fenster angucken. 2:28 Uhr in der Nacht ist aber schon ziemlich hart .. mal gucken ....
